Skilling Bodoland Initiative, a flagship initiative of the Bodoland Development Foundation, provides high-quality vocational training to underprivileged youth, school, and college dropouts. Focused on industry-relevant skills such as electrical systems, automobile technology, fitting, AC & refrigeration technology, and more, the program bridges the gap between education and employment. Implemented in collaboration with Assam Kaziranga University, Bodoland Territorial Council, and SAI ITI, this initiative equips youth with the expertise and confidence to secure meaningful careers. By fostering skill development, we are shaping a self-reliant, empowered workforce, driving sustainable progress across the Bodoland Territorial Region.
Resilient Futures – Powering Sustainable Livelihoods
Resilient Futures, a flagship initiative of the Bodoland Development Foundation, is transforming livelihoods through Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) Solutions. Implemented in partnership with the SELCO Foundation, this program empowers communities by integrating sustainable energy-driven solutions into livestock farming, micro-businesses, and more. By leveraging clean energy for economic growth, Resilient Futures enhances productivity, reduces drudgery, creates opportunities, and fosters resilience in the Bodoland Territorial Region of Assam. This initiative is not just about livelihood—it’s about building an ecosystem for a self-reliant, dignified, and sustainable future for the underserved communities in the Bodoland Territorial Region of Assam.
Eri Weaves – Empowering Women, Transforming Livelihoods
Eri Weaves, a flagship initiative of the Bodoland Development Foundation, empowering women artisans in the Udalguri district through financial and digital literacy, skill training, and sustainable enterprise development. In partnership with Resham Sutra, SELCO Foundation, and Bodoland Handloom Mission, this program provides training in Eri spinning technology, uplifting Eri rearers and weavers with modern tools, branding and market access. By blending traditional craftsmanship with innovation, Eri Weaves fosters self-reliance, economic independence, and a sustainable future for women in the Bodoland Territorial Region—preserving heritage while creating new opportunities.
Stitching Futures – Empowering Women Through Skill & Self-Reliance
Stitching Futures, an initiative of the Bodoland Development Foundation, aims to empower underprivileged women in Udalguri with cutting and tailoring training to build sustainable livelihoods. This program equips women with essential skills, enabling them to earn independently, support their families, and contribute to their communities. By blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques, Stitching Futures fosters self-reliance, confidence, and financial independence. Through this initiative, we are not just teaching a skill—we are stitching a path toward dignity, opportunity, and economic empowerment for the women in the region.
